What is Doujin-ka?

The answer is simple. Doujin-ka is a group of artists who share the intention of creating one of the most appealing forms of fan-work: a doujinshi, otherwise known as a fan-comic.

How can I join?

Send us a note requesting to join and watch the club, we always love new members

...but we will have to audition whether or not you can or will draw doujinshi. This is not a 'doujinshi appreciating club', we are here to actually make doujinshi.

It won't be judged on art-style or even how well you draw(practice will make you better anyway) but do not join if you are not willing to put out.

How many jobs are there and what do they do?

Will be chosen differently depending on the project.

Script Writer: Every project will need a script of some kind, all this job requires is to type it out for the Conceptual Artist.

Conceptual Artist: It doesn't need to be pretty, heck it hardly needs to be legible, all you need to do is get the point across for the Main Artist.

Main Artist: Following the script and concept art left for you, all you need to do is to actually draw it out nicely.

Secondary Artist: The final editor. If the Main Artist failed to complete the work(for whatever reason) you are the back up. If there is a huge error somewhere(like... I dunno, KID's monocle on the wrong eye) it is your job to note it and fix it. You might need to have a flexible art style.

Background Artist: It's your job to draw the backgrounds the script demands.

Screen Toner(?): You will need either photoshop equipped with screen tones, Manga Studio 3.0 or another program equipped with screen tones. All you need to do is fill the pages with depth via screen tonage.

Final Editor: All you need to do is shove in the dialog and check for errors.
